Thank you to everyone who helped make Follies a HUGE success.

You can still order a DVD. Simply click on the “Follies” tab in the navigation bar and click on the DVD order form.

DVD’s are scheduled to be delivered Wednesday, but we can always order more!

Also, if you liked the tee-shirts and would like to order one, that form is located in the same place.

UIL MORNING REHEARSALS

8:15 Every Wed. until UIL unless otherwise notified (MEISTERMEN & MEISTERWOMEN)

These are graded rehearsals, so please make sure you notify us IN ADVANCE if you are going to be absent for any reason. Directors reserve the right to not excuse an absence if it is not deemed legitimate.

For next year, Meistersingers will once again meet as one class to cut down on the need for morning rehearsals.

This weekend, Ellen Gruber and Rachel Thompson earned the honor of membership into the 2011-2012 TMEA All-State Women’s Choir. Geneva Brock was chosen as 2nd alternate to that same choir. Nice work girls!

Show Choirs to perform with UT Concert Chorale Sunday

You are cordially invited to hear a combined concert of the UT Concert Chorale and the McNeil HS Show Choirs on Sunday, November 6 at 4 p.m. The concert will be held at Bates Recital Hall on the campus of UT. Admission is free.

We will meet at the school at 1 p.m. to dress, warmup and load the busses. Men need their white tux shirts, black socks and black shoes. Ladies need their hose and character shoes.

This is a great opportunity for our students to be featured at a prominent university, so we hope you can join us for this concert.

Pre-Area is Tuesday, November 15 at Georgetown East View High School. We will depart from school by bus and return after the contest is over by the same mode of transportation.

Start spreading the news, we’re going to NYC on spring break. Below is the website where you can sign up and register. We have completed our first fund-raiser (candles) and our next is Coffeehouse on Friday, October 28. Donations towards the silent auction can be dropped off at the choir room.

Here’s the website to sign up and make payments. Note that payments are not made through the choir department, but through our travel company.
